Amala's Testing Time With Sunil?
The super success of 'Naayak' might have helped this hot siren get recognition as star-material, but that is not enough to rein the top throne. So here comes a chance for her.
Big eyed Amala Paul is the latest hot sensation in Tollywood. Say it her bathroom scene or her sensuous skin show in 'Subhalekha' song for Naayak, this dusky beauty became a talk everywhere now. Apart from 'Naayak', Amala is also doing 'Iddaru Ammayilatho' with Allu Arjun. But one need to get three biggies in a row to make the difference and that is what happened in the case of Tamanna, Kajal and Samantha. To fulfil that Amala is said to be signing comedian-hero Sunil for his upcoming Geetha Arts project. But there are some black shades over this choice.
If Sunil's film becomes a big blockbuster, then both Sunil and Amala will enter into big league. But if the film bombs, young heroes may not opt for Amala as she donned a leg with Sunil. All these are just speculations, let's wait for some real news!

Mahesh breaks Mega heroes record
'SVSC' has cross the above record in just two days of its release. It has grossed Rs 5,75,34,750 ($ 1.05 million) in just two days and doing exceptionally well at the US box-office. Interestingly, Ram Charan's 'Naayak', which released on Jan 9, though slightly lagging, has grossed Rs 1,85, 83, 700.
Noted trade pundit Taran Adarsh tweeted, "2013 starts with a big bang for Telugu film industry! #SVSC crosses $ 1 million mark on Sat [total: $ 1,043,369 from 68 locations]. SUPERB!" He divulged the business details of Charan's 'Naayak' too. "Telugu film #Naayak USA Tue to Sat total: $ 339,150 from 52 locations." Popular PRO BA Raju tweeted, "SVSC is setting new land marks in US. Touches 1$ Million mark in just 2 days."
This is the new talk of the town as Mahesh Babu has broke the records of both mega heroes- Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. It's once again proved that Mahesh Babu's mania is slightly ahead than Pawan.

SVSC Movie Review
Movie : SVSC
Rating: 3/5
Cast : Mahesh babu, Venkatesh, Samantha, Anjali, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rao Ramesh
Directed by : Srikanth Addala
Produced by : Dil Raju
Banner : Sri Venkateswara Creations
Music : Mickey J Meyer
Release Date : 2013-01-11
SVSC is undoubtedly the most awaited movie of the season if not this year. This is the first true multi-starrer movie in Telugu cinema in last three decades. Mahesh Babu who is in sparkling form teamed up with ace performer Venkatesh in this film about Sibling bonding.
What is it about?
Peddodu (Venkatesh) and Chinnodu (Mahesh) are brothers who have diverse personalities. Peddodu doesn't settle down in life by doing some job and Chinnodu will be in job search. Peddodu not settling in any job is the biggest pressure on their family. Chinnodu tries to guide him but in vain. At a stage the relation between the brothers gets strained and how everything gets cleared is the final scene.
Performances:
Mahesh Babu is currently in a wonderful form especially with his comedy timing. His one liners in East Godavari accent are a treat. He has delivered yet another wonderful performance as chinnodu. He simply carries off the film on his shoulders and provides good entertainment in parts. If not for Mahesh this film would have been a letdown. Such is the impact of Mahesh on this movie.
Venkatesh has been dominated by Mahesh in most of the scenes as Venkatesh played a serious role which is completely in contrast to that of Mahesh's. However Venky had his moments here and there where he comes up with trademark sentimental performance. Being a multistarrer one would expect Venkatesh to have a better role.
Prakash Raj is very good in his role. He is very natural and so is Jayasudha. Anjali's character is over the top at times but she is good and lovely in the role. Samantha is alright. Rao Ramesh and Tanikella Bharani are fine.
On the Technical Front:
Songs are soothing and melodious. Background score is pleasant. Cinematography is cool. Editing could have been better. So many characters have been chopped off (RaviBabu, Raja Raveendra) without proper justification. Dialogues are good. Production values are commendable.
Srinkanth Addala is a good director who has great script sense. His first film Kotha Bangaru Lokam has few very good scenes that prove this point. SVSC is not an exception. Srikanth has once again done a fabulous job in conceiving scenes. The best scene is on Prakash Raj in Badrachalam. However, the director ignored many essential elements to highlight the sibling bonding. His prime focus is only on the brotherhood and he didn't bother about other things which is not an intelligent move on the commercial front.
Analysis:
This movie starts off at its own pace and things start to move briskly once Mahesh and Venkatesh comes together on screen. There is no separate comedy in this film and that has been handled by Mahesh. First half is completely dedicated to create feel good factor and the director succeeds in doing so.
Second half is where the real story has to start. But director only focused on brothers and their emotions. They go apart on few occasions and patches up later. This process repeats for two or three times and the movie ends. You will never realize that the film has gone into the climax part until the movie concludes.
Narration is too flat and that is the biggest drawback. Mahesh and Venkatesh bonding scenes have come out well. Mahesh Babu's phone chat with Samantha is entertaining. Anjali character and Prakash Raj character could have been dealt better for more emotional impact. Mahesh Babu solely shouldered the movie from sinking with his excellent dialogues and performance.
This film has few emotions that will appeal to family audience and females. People who have great bonding with their brothers too might get connected. We have to wait and see how masses embrace this movie.
Verdict: Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu - A clean Family film

'Naayak' Movie At Jr NTR's Theatre?
Till the other day, the big talk is about Jr NTR acting in Charan's 'Naayak' movie. No one knows if that is true or not and only movie will reveal the real thing behind it. But here is another latest gossip that is doing rounds in Film Nagar.
Apparently, Nandamuri family owns a theatre named Tarakarama in Kachiguda, and it happens to be an old one with that entire rustic look. However, they have renovated it recently under Jr NTR's father Hari Krishna's supervision and preparations are on to launch the new version of this theatre for Pongal. Big talk is that the theatre will be inaugurated by Jr NTR on that festival day with inaugural being 'Naayak'. They say that Junior is going to watch that film along with his wife and other family members to make the day memorable.
Well, a star hero like NTR watching the film of another star hero and that too in a theatre will all public is no less than a sensation. But is there truth in this is something we have to check. So don't come to any conclusions!
Chiru dances for Charan's Song
It's an undeniable fact that 'Dances' are the forte of Chiranjeevi and he was the only actor who mesmerized the audience for decades with his flawless moves. No other actor had neither came close to him nor given competition to him in this category till he left the Film Industry. However, the past few flicks particularly the 'Vaana Vaana' remix in Racha gave a feeling to one and all that Ram Charan has the calibre to match Chiru and if not could also surpass his father.
Film buffs always had the curiosity to know how it would be if Chiru dances for the tunes composed for Charan. An enthusiastic fan brought this to reality with his terrific editing skills. The chartbuster song 'Laila O Laila' in Nayak was used to create the magic. Rough & Tough Gang-Leader's graceful moves for Son's rocking dance number is a visual delight. Wish the makers of Nayak comes up with such innovative concepts to enthrall the fans during the rolling titles.
